Oh he had BEST not be a Skrull. I, for the most part, am a bit of a Tony-tard, and think that while he didn't handle things in the best way, Tony Stark did the right thing with Registration.
So if he's a Skrull and all that's undone and written off as "OH EVIL SKRULL PLOT" I'm going to be so pissed it's going to probably cause a blood vessel to explode.
But yeah, I'm with you. BND was such a horrible step BACKWARDS in character development.

That story line was one of Marvel's biggest mistakes. I heard that the series' sales dropped over 47,000 titles or something like that. Also the deal with Mephisto was really stupid. If they let May die I think that it would show a new grow up stage for Peter and that he should learn that no one lives forever and probably go through what Tony Stark does all the time: Drink his problems away and become reckless. I think that would show that everyone is human, whether a super-hero or not. But aside from my random tangint (sp?), Secret Invasion is possibly one of the best titles on the shelves right now. I mean Spider-Woman as a Skrull was a great plot twist (whether or not you read the tie-ins). Though I doubt Iron Man is a sleeper agent. I think Spider-Woman-Skrull (Queen Veranke) is just doing psychological torment on Tony to freak him out and to stop rebuilding his armor.
